Ian Cooper MRICS started the practice based in London on his own account in 1986, the practice was known as Ian Cooper Associates. On 1st September 1989 Martin Poile Dip QS, FRICS joined Ian Cooper to form the new partnership under the name of Cooper Poile Associates. In April 2008 the partnership changed to a limited company with Ian and Martin taking the positions of Joint Managing Directors.

The practice provides not only Cost and Project Management services to Clients predominately in the retail and leisure industries  but also acts for other national and regional Clients in other development related fields.

All surveyors currently employed have had vast experience in new developments, roll out programmes ranging between £5m - £20m annually, fitting out and refurbishment work in both the commercial sector as well as the retail and leisure sector. They also have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of their Clients’operational needs, specialist requirements and contract procedures.

Cooper Poile Associates are currently under a controlled expansion programme and are actively involved in all aspects of quantity surveying services and project management. As well as concentrating on fast track quick response fitting out contracts within the retail and leisure industries, Cooper Poile Associates have kept an active interest in local government and other similar public authorities.
